5 Series for Tweens to Binge-Read on Hoopla

Deja vu? You may have seen last week's post on 5 Series for Teens to Binge-Read on Hoopla!

This week, we are focusing on the tweens (We're looking at you, AMIS students)!

Don't you hate it when you go into the library and the book you want is checked out? Then you have to put it on hold and/or feel pretty disappointed for the rest of the day. Or what about when the library's been closed for the last two weeks? WHAT DO YOU DO?

Don't worry, fam. Hoopla has your back!

Hoopla lets you check out up to 10 titles per month (ebooks and even audiobooks!) and is tied to your library card! In case you don't already have it, here's a quick refresher on how to get setup (it's available on the app portal on your school iPad!):

ALRIGHT! LET'S GO!

1. Diary of a Wimpy Kid Series

Join Greg Heffley as he just tries to get through life (we can all relate)!

This is one of the most popular series at our library. Can you believe the entire series is ready to read right now on Hoopla? No waiting list needed!

The digital version includes all the classic cartoons and scribbles from Greg's journal!

Plus, you don't have to worry about getting the Cheese Touch when you check out a digital book!

2. The Artemis Fowl Series

This series by Eoin Colfer has been around for a minute, but, like Harry Potter, we feel that this is a timeless series! It oozes cool.

Plus, we are getting pumped for the Disney adaptation that comes out May 29th! (here's a link to the trailer)!

Artemis is a genius mastermind millionaire with a cool butler bodyguard. There are fairies and magic and weird super-slow dimensions and time control.

3. Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series

Life is weird right now. But not as weird as Percy's - imagine Greek gods battling it out in the middle of Alex. Now that's weird.

And maybe Percy isn't so normal. Who is his dad? That's a big mystery. It may explain why Percy has some...interesting personality traits.

By the time you finish the series, you will be a master at Greek mythology!

4. Phoebe and Her Unicorn Series

How cool would it be to have a unicorn as a pet? Too bad they don't exist...

That's what Phoebe thought too, until she came face-to-face with one.

Join Phoebe and her unicorn, Marigold Heavenly Nostrils (what a name!) as they take on all sorts of stuff: gym class, piano lessons, and bullies. Along with some not-so-normal stuff: magic hair, candy-breathing dragons, and the Shield of Boringness!

5. I Survived Series

It is important to remember that during this time of crisis, we will all get through this together! Be brave, and stay safe.

Listen to this historical fiction audiobook series about other kids experiencing some of the world's most famous events!

Hoopla lets you stay home and read! If you'd like to browse some other titles, head on over to Hoopla where you can select from over 24,931 titles in Juvenile Fiction!
