Greenglass House Greenglass House by Kate Milford

Greenglass House follows the extraordinary adventure of a boy named Milo who lives in Greenglass House, an old inn on an island frequented by smugglers. One night during a snow storm, a mysterious guest arrives. Then another. Then another. Soon, the house is full of strange people. While his parents take care of the guests, Milo entertains himself by pretending that he is on a giant treasure quest, only to discover what might be a real treasure map. As he delves deeper into the house’s secrets, he discovers that every guest has a secret that ties them to Greenglass House. And not everyone is friendly.

This is a wonderful mystery for readers of all ages! Milo has such an incredible imagination and is an incredibly smart character. This book is recommended for readers who enjoy mysteries, adventure stories, or slightly spooky tales.

Kids Events

Brandi hosts all kinds of events at the library for kids.  We have a monthly craft program for kids ages 4 to 11, an afternoon where kids in grades 1 through 5 can come in and play some Wii games, and a science program where kids can have fun and get messy!  Silly Scientists is for kids ages 4 to 11, but kids under 4 are welcome as long as a parent is with them.  Brandi also hosts story times in the library every Thursday morning.
