This section is for kids ages 0 to 11 and their parents. Here you can find homework help, information about new books, book recommendations from Brandi and Lauren, and information about all of the fun programs we have for kids your age. This section is frequently updated, so be sure to check back often!

Got questions about math and need help right now? Go to freeMATHhelp.com. They have sources for people as young as kindergarten all the way up to calculus!
If you’re looking for an extra boost or need a little extra time with a subject, Khan Academy offers lessons for free in a variety of subjects. They have resources and lessons in math, history, art, finance, biology, and many, many more subjects!
The library is getting new books all the time! New picture books are displayed at the front of the juvenile section in the library. Older readers can find new chapter books on the book case just past the DVDs. And for those of you who prefer it real, our new nonfiction books are along the wall at the end of our nonfiction section. Keep checking back for updates from Lauren and Brandi about all the great new books they’re excited about!
Do you enjoy books with cool illustrations like Diary of a Wimpy Kid? Do you like books about legendary creatures? Are you looking for a book that makes you laugh? Then this is the book for you! Follow the adventures of Blizz Richards (a yeti!) as he studies other magical creatures, hides from people, searches for his missing cousin, and organizes one of the best family reunions ever. This book is perfect for younger readers who are looking for something fun and very funny. It has a lexile of 350 and is worth 3 reading counts points.

Brandi hosts all kinds of events at the library for kids. We have a monthly craft program for kids ages 4 to 11, an afternoon where kids in grades 1 through 5 can come in and play some Wii games, and a science program where kids can have fun and get messy! Silly Scientists is for kids ages 4 to 11, but kids under 4 are welcome as long as a parent is with them. Brandi also hosts story times in the library every Thursday morning.
